Bring your creative side to the park and learn about some of the unique beach findings and what crafty ways can be applied with them. You will get a chance to build your own craft to take home.

Monday, January 19
Beach Scavenger Hunt at Fort Macon State Park, Atlantic Beach.
Take a stroll on the beach with a park ranger to see what you can find, from drift beans to sea glass, and of course, seashells.
10-11 am | FreeBeach Cleanup at Hammocks Beach State Park, Swansboro.
Celebrate this day of service honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. with a three-hour beach cleanup on Bear Island. Equipment will be provided.

Kristen Newbold, a Swansboro High School junior will have the opportunity of a lifetime when she sings in the High School Honors Performance Series at New York City’s Carnegie Hall next month. Following this honor, Newbold will join other select students from the Swansboro High choir and orchestra in performing at Carnegie Hall in June.
After being closed for upgrades, the NC Maritime Museum in Beaufort will be reopening on January 31. You will find new exhibits, refreshed galleries, new programs, and more.
