Hello friends and neighbors!

It would be a shame to be so near all this lovely water and stuck on land. We can recommend several easy fixes. There is the Lady Swan that offers various cruises around Swansboro and the Hammocks Beach area. If you want to combine a boat ride with a dip in the ocean, you can take the passenger ferry between Hammocks Beach State Park and Bear Island. On the opposite end of the Crystal Coast, you can enjoy a trip to the Cape Lookout Lighthouse or Shackleford Banks from either Harkers Island or Beaufort via Island Express.

There’s always room for a good café and bakery, right? A new one to try is the Marmalade Café and Bakery at 410-A Arundell Street in Morehead City. You can get breakfast, lunch, baked goods, and specialty coffees from 7:30 am ‘til 2 pm Tuesday through Sunday.
